Ambassador Nagamine and his wife visit Den Helder (16 June) |
On 16 June, Ambassador Nagamine and his wife travelled to Den Helder to attend the ‘Japan Day’ in the Japanese Garden in the Orangerie -de Groene Parel. They were shown footage of Japanese children marveling at the 25.000 wonderfully blossoming tulips that tulip grower Mr. Frans Langelaan had donated to Rikuzentakata in northern Japan last year. In addition guests were treated to performances and demonstrations of ikebana, bonsai, origami, kyudo(Japanese archery), buyo dancing, the display of Japanese armor and offered samples of sake and sushi.
