Japan Day at the Japanese Garden in Den Helder (22 June) |
25 June 2014
On 22 June, the Oranjerie hosted the annual Japan Day at the Japanese Garden in Den Helder. Under a clear blue sky, Mr. and Mrs. Ambassador, vice-governor of the province of Noord-Holland Mr. Van Run and deputy mayor Ms. Den Dulk, and with them a lot of visitors, strolled through the Japanese Garden while listening to live music. In the adjacent greenhouse, bonsai, ikebana, origami and paintings were on display, and Japanese food such as sushi and yakisoba was also offered. With over four hundred visitors in a single day, the Japan Day was well attended.
