On Thursday, 30 May, at the invitation of student Association Trias Politica representatives of the Cultural Affairs Department of the Embassy of Japan visited the NHL University in Leeuwarden to give a guest lecture.

The lecture began with an outline of the main tasks of an embassy with particular reference to those of the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands and included a brief history of the relationship between the Netherlands and Japan.
Lastly, an overview of the many cultural events which the Embassy organizes and participates in throughout the year was given.

Approximately thirty students from the European Studies department attended the lecture.
