On Friday 18 July, Ambassador Tsuji attended the 27th edition of the Haarlemse Honkbalweek, the international baseball tournament held in Haarlem, for the game between Japan and the Netherlands. It was the last regular game before the semi-finals, and the second game between the Japanese and the Dutch team in this tournament, with Japan having won the first (1-3).
Before the game, Ambassador Tsuji had the honour to throw the first pitch. The game was exciting until the very last moment and was eventually won by the Netherlands (2-3).

On Saturday, the two teams faced each other for the third time in the semi-final. Japan won at the tiebreak and secured a spot in the final against Team USA. In a very exciting final Team USA eventually beat Japan 6-3 and became Champions of the baseball tournament.
