Mutual Understanding Scholarship Program for High School Students 2009


To promote mutual understanding between the young generations of Japan and Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will host the Mutual Understanding Scholarship Program for High School Students in 2009.

The program aims to give European students opportunities to go to Japan and to be acquainted with Japan of today, and is for European students including grandchildren of the Dutch internees of the Japanese Camp in Indonesia.

A student should be 16-17 years of age at the beginning of the program (June 2009). Students will be selected by YFU and the Japanese Embassy. For eligibility requirements and instructions on how to apply, refer to the website of YFU.
