2010 IIHF World Championship Division 1 – Group A began in Tilburg on Monday, April 19. Six National Teams, with host Netherlands, Japan, Austria, Ukraine, Lithuania and Serbia will strive for the World Title and promotion to the World League. In the 3rd match on the 1st day Japan defeated the Netherlands 3-1 .
