Exhibition of painter Kawahara Keiga about Deshima (28 November-22 February) |

On 27 November, the exhibition of painter Kawahara Keiga about Dejima was officially opened at the Japan Museum SieboldHuis. After an explanation about the painter’s works by Professor Forrer, curator of the Rijksmuseum Volkenkunde, Ambassador Tsuji made a speech in which he expressed his hope that this exhibition will lead to the further promotion of Dutch-Japanese cultural exchange. The Ambassador also praised the efforts of SieboldHuis Director Mrs Kris Schiermeier and Professor Forrer.
