On 3 August, Minister Kikuta attended the Iaidō and Jōdō Seminar held by the Dutch Kendō Renmei in Eindhoven city and made a speech, expressing his hope that the spirit of Japanese Budo will be further expanded in Europe.
Minister Kikuta also handed over a certificate of appreciation from Mr Odinot, the chairman of the Dutch Kendō Renmei, to Shizufumi Ishidō-sensei, who has devoted himself to and made a great contribution to training at the Dutch national team and Kendō Renmei for over thirty years.

After that, Minister Kikuta enjoyed the sight of Iaidō as performed by Ishidō-sensei.
