This year the annual Japan Market on the Rapenburg in Leiden will be held on Sunday, 19th of May from 12:00 - 17:00 hours.

From the Sieboldhuis to the Hortus, booths will line the Rapenburg displaying Japanese cultural and culinary wares. As in the past, the Embassy of Japan will also participate in this event. 
This year’s theme is Japanese Theatre.  Visitors will be introduced to this genre through film, theatre and dance performances.

The Japan Market is held each year as a reminder of the visit to Leiden by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan during their State Visit to the Netherlands in May 2000.
