Royal decorations for Dutch Ikebana masters (4 October) |

On 4 October, President of the Dutch Ichiyo School of Ikebana Mrs. Rauwenhoff and President of the Dutch Ikebana Association Mrs. Van der Meer-Fischer both received a royal decoration during a ceremony held at a hotel in Driebergen (about 70 kilometers to the east of The Hague). This ceremony coincided with the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the Dutch Ikebana Association, for which the Head of the Ichiyo School visited the Netherlands from Japan and performed an Ikebana demonstration.
