Opening ceremony Vakantiebeurs (14 January) |
On 14 January at 13.30 hours, the exhibition stand of Japan hosted an opening ceremony. First, there was a performance of Japanese drums by YAMATO. After that, Ambassador Tsuji and the Mayor of Utrecht, Mr. Van Zanen, made a speech and performed kagamibiraki (a sake barrel-opening ceremony) together with Mr. Otten, CEO of VNU exhibitions Europe. Everyone who attended could then enjoy a cup of Japanese sake.
