From 13 to 18 January, the Dutch Holiday Fair was held in Utrecht. On 13 January, the opening day, there was a Taiko performance at the Japan booth provided by the Japanese government. Ambassador Tsuji and the Mayor of Utrecht Mr Van Zanen made a speech, after which Japanese sake and sushi were distributed to the people who had come to watch.

Until the last day of the fair, Sunday 18 January, 117.036 people visited the Holiday Fair and the Japan booth was a great success with an endless stream of visitors.
