Conferral of The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette upon Prof. Matthi Forrer, researcher of the National Museum of Ethnology |

On November 3rd 2014, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2014 Autumn Conferment of Decoration on Foreign Nationals. Among them, Prof. Matthi Forrer, researcher of the National Museum of Ethnology (former Special Professor in Literature Department of the University of Leiden), received The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, in recognition of his significant contributions to the introduction and diffusion of Japanese Arts in the Netherlands.
