The passing of Mr. Frans J. van Lanschot, Honorary Consul General of Japan in Amsterdam

On 12 January 2016, Mr. Frans J. van Lanschot, Honorary Consul General of Japan in Amsterdam, passed away.

Since his appointment as Honorary Consul General of Japan in Amsterdam in August 2010, Mr. van Lanschot has made a great contribution to further develop the relationship between Japan and the Netherlands through his role as a bridge between the community of Amsterdam and Japanese companies and residents.

The Embassy wishes to praise his achievements and convey our deepest condolences to his bereaved family.
