The new Information and Culture Centre was festively opened with a performance of the Japanese traditional instrument “shō”

On 17 June, the new Information and Culture Centre was officially opened in the presence of guests from all kinds of Japan-related organizations. Ambassador Inomata opened the evening with a speech and Ms. Nagasaki, director of the Cultural Department, presented the Centre's purpose and plans. Before the reception, everyone could enjoy the musical performance by shō-player Naomi Sato who not only played traditional and modern pieces, but also explained about the instrument itself.
