Ambassador Inomata’s first pitch at Japan Day Oosterhout

On the 28th of August, ‘Japan Day’ was held in Oosterhout in the southern part of The Netherlands. There was a softball tournament in which Japanese teams participated and Ambassador Inomata threw the first pitch for the baseball game of the local team De Glaskoning Twins.
This event was organised with the cooperation of Japanese companies and had many spectators, such as Ambassador and Mrs. Inomata, Mayor Huisman, the president of the European Association of Professional Baseball Mr. Van den Hurk, numerous local fans, and people from the Japanese community.

For Japanese pitcher Keiji Uezono, former player of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, it was his last game of the season for De Glaskoning Twins and he received applause from the spectators.
