The Foundation Friends of Japan receives the Foreign Minister’s Commendation.

On the 19th of October a ceremony was held to award the Foundation Friends of Japan with the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation. In the presence of Mayor Van der Werff and his wife, as well as people involved in the foundation, Chairman Mr. Emmink received the commendation out of the hands of Ambassador Inomata. The awarding of the Foreign Minister’s commendation was announced earlier on the 13th of July in recognition of the foundation’s significant efforts to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendly relations between Japan and the Netherlands by means of the student exchange between Noordoostpolder and Mizumaki.
