Report: "Ninja" lecture and demonstration

On the 18th of November, a "Ninja" lecture and demonstration was held at the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands.
It was a wonderful opportunity to be introduced to the mysterious world of the Ninja by the very interesting lectures of Prof. Yamada and Associate Prof. Yoshimaru from Mie University. Following these lectures about the historical Ninja and the depiction of Ninja in fiction, Mr. Kawakami gave a lecture about Ninjutsu (the techniques of the Ninja) and to everyone’s delight demonstrated some of these techniques as well.

Learn more about the ninja! On Friday the 18th of November, the Embassy of Japan will receive three ninja experts from Japan in our Cultural Centre! These experts will give a lecture on the history and literature of the ninja, as well as a demonstration of ninja techniques and movements.
In addition, we will exhibit several panel displays related to the ninja world at our Cultural Centre during our regular opening hours from 16 to 18 November.
Please come and join us for this unique opportunity to learn more about the mysterious world of the ninja. We look forward to seeing you!
