Reception for the Celebration of the Emperor’s Birthday (December 7 2017)

On December 7, 2017, Ambassador Inomata and Madam held the reception for the celebration of the Emperor’s Birthday at the Ambassador’s residence, prior to the Emperor’s birthday, December 23. The reception was attended by around 350 guests, including officials of the Dutch Government, representatives of business circles, diplomatic corps, officials of international organizations in the Netherlands and people from the Japanese community in the Netherlands.
 
At the reception, the promotion of Japanese food was a great success among the guests. With the cooperation of Japanese companies that are active in the Netherlands, we introduced a variety of Japanese foods including Wagyu beef, Japanese wine, whisky and sake, ‘Nigirizushi(nigiri type of Sushi)’.
