Conferment Ceremony of “The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays” upon Mrs. Elizabeth van der Wind-Hamill, a former local staff member of the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands (June 21, 2018)

On June 21, 2018, a ceremony was held at the Residence of Japanese Ambassador to confer“The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays” upon Mrs. Elizabeth van der Wind-Hamill, a former local staff member of the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Inomata delivered a congratulatory speech and conferred the decoration upon Mrs. Van der Wind-Hamill after presenting the Patent of Decoration.
Close friends, family members and people from various Japanese-Dutch communities, including a former Prime Minister Mr. Van Agt, were present to congratulate Mrs. Van der Wind-Hamill on her decoration.

On April 29, 2018, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2018 Spring Conferment of Decorations.
Among them, Mrs. Elizabeth van der Wind, a former local staff member of the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands, will receive “The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays” in recognition of her significant contribution to the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands.
Mrs. van der Wind will receive the decoration during a special ceremony this summer.
