Vacation Fair 2019 (January 9-13, 2019)

From the 9^th till the 13^th of January the “Vacation Fair(Vakantie Beurs)” was held in Utrecht. The exhibit at the Japan booth was managed by the Embassy of Japan in the Netherlands and the London office of the JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization), as well as several local travel organizations that specialize in Japan. On Saturday the 12th, Ambassador Inomata visited the booth together with the Mayor of Utrecht, Mr. Van Zanen. After their speeches they participated in Kagami-biraki”, which is a Japanese traditional ceremony to celebrate New Year. They did this together with Miss International Netherlands, who is appointed as a Japan Tourism Ambassador, and Mr. Ichikawa, executive director of JNTO London Office. After the ceremony, everyone that had gathered was treated to sushi and sake.
