Conferral of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon upon Mr. Geert Jan Mantel, former chairman of DUJAT (Dutch and Japanese Trade Federation) (October 7, 2021)

On October 7, 2021, a ceremony was held at the Residence of Japanese Ambassador to confer “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon” upon Mr. Geert Jan Mantel, former chairman of DUJAT (Dutch and Japanese Trade Federation) and former president of Yammer Europe B.V.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Horinouchi delivered a congratulatory speech and conferred the decoration upon Mr. Mantel after presenting the Patent of Decoration.
Close friends, family members, people from business communities and Mayor of the Hague were present to congratulate Mr. Mantel on his decoration.

 On April 29, 2020, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2020 Spring Conferment of Decorations.

 Among them, Mr. Geert Jan Mantel, former chairman of DUJAT (Dutch & Japanese Trade Federation) and former CEO of Yanmar Europe B.V., will receive “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon” in recognition of his exceptional contribution to strengthening the economic relations between Japan and the Netherlands.
