Conferral of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette upon Prof. Wybe Kuitert (June 14, 2022)

On June 14, 2022, a ceremony was held at the Residence of the Japanese Ambassador to confer the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette (the Autumn 2020 Conferment of Decoration)” upon Prof. Wybe Kuitert, former Professor of the Landscape Architecture department at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Seoul National University.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Horinouchi delivered a congratulatory speech and conferred the decoration upon Prof. Kuitert after presenting the Patent of Decoration.
Close friends, family members and more were present to congratulate Prof. Kuitert on his decoration.

On November 3, 2020, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2020 Autumn Conferment of Decorations.
Among them, Prof. Wybe Kuitert, former Professor of Landscape Architecture department at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Seoul National University will receive “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” in recognition of his contribution to promoting Japanese culture and understanding of Japan through the study of landscape architecture in and outside of the Netherlands.
