Prior to the opening of the International Horticultural Exhibition ‘Floriade Expo 2022’ in Almere, the Netherlands, in April this year, a luncheon was held at the Ambassador's residence on 28th February. Ms. Ank Bijleveld, Acting Mayor of Almere, Mr. Hans Bakker, CEO of Floriade, several Japanese companies located in Almere and other stakeholders were invited.
During the luncheon, after the speeches made by Ambassador Horinouchi, Acting Mayor Bijleveld and Mr. Bakker, Minister Myochin, Floriade Expo 2022 Commissioner General of Section for Japan, gave a presentation about the Japanese pavilion at the Floriade and the participants exchanged various opinions, wishing for a successful Floriade and reaffirming the cooperation between Japan and the Netherlands.
