Gold Award handed to Ms. De Jongh, winner of the 15th Japan International Manga Award (May 30, 2022)

On May 30, 2022, Ambassador Horinouchi handed over the Gold Award of the 15th Japan International Manga Award to Dutch manga artist Ms. Aimée de Jongh for her work “Days of Sand” (in Dutch “Dagen van zand”, in French “Jours de sable”).
The annual Japan International Manga Award ceremony has been taking place in Tokyo since its establishment in 2007 with the Foreign Minister of Japan attending. However, due to the pandemic, the ceremony for this edition was held online earlier this year.
We would like to congratulate Ms. De Jongh on her remarkable achievement and wish for her continued success in the future.
