On 4 September 2025, a conferment ceremony was held at the Residence of the Japanese Ambassador to confer “the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon” upon Mr. Hans Kuijpers, Director Investment Projects of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency and Former General Director of Sieboldhuis.
He has made a significant contribution to promoting economic and cultural relations between Japan and the Netherlands.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Minami delivered a congratulatory speech and conferred the order along with the Patent of Decoration. Family members and close friends were present to congratulate Mr. Kuijpers on his conferment.
