Conferment Ceremony of the Certificate of Commendation 2025(October 24, 2025)

2025/10/30
On 24 October 2025, a conferment ceremony for the Certificate of Commendation was held at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador to honor four individuals who have made distinguished contribution to promoting Japan-Netherlands exchanges.

The recipients have contributed to mutual understanding and reconciliation between Japan and the Netherlands for approximately 20 years as members of the advisory committee for the Japan-Netherlands Peace Exchange Program.

This program invites individuals who experienced Japanese occupation in the former Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia) during World War II to Japan. Their contributions include selecting invitees and providing pre- and post-visit support and information to those invited.

Following congratulatory remarks from Ambassador MINAMI, the Certificate of Commendation was presented.
