Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship (Japanese Studies Students) for 2025

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to students of Dutch nationality to study for a period of one year at designated Japanese universities in order to deepen their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture.

The application announcement usually reaches the Embassy in December/January for the departure of following September/October.

We are pleased to announce the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for 2025 (Japanese Studies Students).

The Japanese Government's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships for academic study in Japan to foreign students interested in deepening their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture. The purpose of these scholarships is to promote mutual understanding and deepening friendly ties between Japan and other countries through the acquisition of advanced knowledge regarding Japan's language and culture.
