Foreign nationals NOT on this list from entering Japan from 0:00 (JST) 11 October 2022 are required following documents.

 
TOURISM

□ A valid passport with at least one blank page

□ One visa application form, completed and signed (two application forms for Russian nationals and nationals of NIS-countries)
     Download Visa Application Form

□ One photo (two photos for Russian nationals and nationals of NIS-countries)
   - Passport-type photograph(45mm×35mm) taken within the previous 6 months attached to the visa application form

□ ID card or re-entry permit
   - Dutch immigration documents showing your legal status and permitting re-entry into the Netherlands

□ Hotel reservation(s) for all the nights of your stay in Japan mentioning your name

□ A return or onward-journey flight itinerary
   - Issued by travel agency or airline company

□ Travel schedule

□ To prove ability to pay for travel expenses
-Most recent bank statement, Salary slips of the last 3 months and a certificate of employment

A letter of proxy (if other person applies for a visa instead of you)


VISITING RELATIVES/ACQUAINTANCE

  - Offical Family register("Koseki-Tohon"), Birth certificate, marriage certificate etc.
   - Copy of the Residence Card ("Zairyu-Card") (If the inviting person in Japan is not a Japanese national)

□ To prove the acquaintanceship (When you visit your acquaintance in Japan)
   - Copy of the Residence Card ("Zairyu-Card") (If the inviting person in Japan is not a Japanese national)
   - Photos, letters, e-mails, etc.

□ A return or onward-journey flight itinerary
   - Issued by travel agency or airline company

□ Travel schedule

□ A certificate of employment

□ Invitation letter (JapaneseEnglish) by the inviting party (relatives/acquaintance) in Japan
 
□ Staying at Hotel?
   Hotel reservation(s) for all the nights of your stay in Japan mentioning your name

□ Staying at home of someone in Japan?
   - A certificate of residence ("Jumin-Hyo") of the person
   - Copy of Residence Card ("Zairyu-Card") of the person (If the person is not a Japanese national)
   - Copy of passport of the person (If the person is not a Japanese national)

□ To prove ability to pay for travel expenses
-Most recent bank statement, Salary slips of the last 3 months and a certificate of employment

□ If a guarantor is to pay for the travel expenses:
   - Letter of guarantee (JapaneseEnglish)
  - Certificate of tax payment (“Nozei-Shomei”), Bank statements, Official copy of final income tax return, or Certificate of income of the guarantor
   - Copy of Residence Card (“Zairyu-Card”) of the guarantor (if the inviting person in Japan is not a Japanese national)
 
A letter of proxy (if other person applies for a visa instead of you)

□ If your company in the Netherlands are paying for trip:
     A letter from your company stating that they cover the travel expenses

□ If the company in Japan is paying for the travel expenses
   - A filled and signed guarantee letter form

   - Public corporation registration certificate or an explanation of the outline of the company in Japan

□ If a guarantor is individual:
   - A filled and signed guarantee letter form
