Do I need a VISA?

Foreign nationals on this list who go to Japan as 'a temporary visitor' are not required to apply for a visa.
| Please note that your passport shall be valid at least for the period of your stay in Japan to enter/leave Japan. |
When undergoing landing examination during passport control in Japan, please be advised to carry the following documents:
• a valid passport (valid at least for the period of your stay in Japan)
• a fixed-date, confirmed return ticket (E-tickets are also accepted) or onward journey ticket
• relevant documentation concerning your itinerary (i.e. hotel reservations, conference details…) and proof of sufficient funds
| Permission to enter Japan remains at the discretion of the Japanese immigration authority and there is no guarantee of landing permission being granted, even if you have a valid visa. |
