Japanese Essay and Video Contest/ 日本語エッセイビデオコンテスト
例年3月頃に開催してまいりました「日本語弁論大会」の代替事業として、オランダの日本語学習者を対象とした「日本語エッセイビデオコンテスト」をオンラインで開催いたします。
Summary of the Contest / コンテスト概要
For the “Japanese Essay and Video Contest”, we would like you to submit an essay in Japanese about a specific theme (please see the “Application Guidelines” below for more details).
From all entries, we will select the best essays (a maximum of 6 essays). The selected authors will then be asked to submit a video of themselves giving a presentation of the essay in Japanese. A panel of judges will decide the winners of the prizes.
この日本語エッセイビデオコンテストに参加ご希望の方は、指定のテーマにそったエッセイを日本語で書き、大使館までお送りください（詳細は以下「参加案内」をご覧ください）。
お送りいただいたエッセイのうち、上位作品を選出します（最大6作品を予定）。選出された方には提出いただいたエッセイのプレゼンテーション動画をご自身で撮影していただきます。提出された動画は審査員による審査を行い、入賞者を決定いたします。
Application Guidelines / 参加案内
1．Requirements / 参加資格
| Participants must: | |
| （1） | hold the nationality of the Netherlands and be living in the Netherlands, or that of another European Union member state and have resided in the Netherlands for a consecutive six-month period preceding the date of the contest .(Those who do not hold the nationality of an EU member state are also welcome. However, they will not be eligible to win a prize.) / オランダ国籍を有し、かつ、オランダ国内に居住していること。または、EU加盟国の国籍を有し、かつ、6か月以上継続してオランダ国内に居住していること。（EU加盟国の国籍を有しない方の出場も歓迎しますが、受賞資格はございません。） |
| （2） | have not lived in Japan for more than two years / 日本滞在歴が2年以下であること。 |
| （3） | have never had the Japanese nationality in the past. Individuals with one or both parents holding the Japanese nationality are not eligible for participation. / 日本国籍であったことがないこと。また、両親がいずれも日本国籍でないこと。 |
2．Application procedure / 参加申込み方法
Please download and complete the application form (including a passport photo) and submit it with your Japanese essay to the Information and Culture Centre by e-mail (e-mail address is indicated on the form). Please mention “Japanese Essay and Video Contest (your name)” in the subject line of the email. The deadline is February 19, 2021.
申請フォームをダウンロードして必要事項を記入し（証明写真を貼付）、日本語エッセイと共に在オランダ日本国大使館広報文化センターまでメールでお送りください（メールアドレスは申請フォームに記載されています）。メールの件名に“Japanese Essay and Video Contest (お名前)”と記載してください。締切は2021年2月19日まで。
<Essay/ エッセイ> (first round)
- Language: Japanese / 使用言語：日本語
- File type: Word or PDF (No handwritten) / ファイル形式：WordもしくはPDF（手書き不可）
- Theme: “My Favourite Japanese Word /Phrase” / テーマ「私の好きな日本語のことば」
- Length: max. 1,500 words, excluding the title of your essay / 最大1,500字（タイトルは除く）
- Deadline: February 19, 2021 / 締切：2021年2月19日まで
- We will inform you of the result by March 5, 2021 / エッセイ審査の結果は2021年3月5日頃までにお知らせいたします。
<Video/ ビデオ> (second round)
* Only for the selected best essays/ 選出された上位作品のみ対象- Give a presentation in Japanese of the essay submitted in the first round / 提出したエッセイのプレゼンテーションを日本語で実施してください。
- Maximum length of five minutes / 長さは最大5分
- File type: mp4 / ファイル形式：mp4
- You, the presenter, must be visible at all times for the duration of the video (for instance, no voiceover) / 発表者（参加者）が常時、画面上にいるようにしてください（ナレーションは不可）。
- We will explain how to submit the video to those who succeed in the first round / 提出方法についてはエッセイ審査を通過された方に追ってお知らせいたします。
- Deadline: March 15, 2021 / 締切：2021年3月15日まで
3．Announcement of the results of the second round / 結果報告
The winners of the second round of the “Japanese Essay and Video Contest” will be announced on our website by the end of March 2021. / 入賞者の発表は2021年3月末までに当館ホームページ上で発表いたします
Please note that we will post the winning videos on our official Facebook page and our website. / なお、入賞者作品については当館公式Facebookおよびホームページ上で公開いたします。
